Cast Iron Camping Stove: Outdoor Cooking and the Family’s Favorite Food
If you want to add to the fun you can have with your family when you go camping, be sure to take along the makings of a favorite meal for each member in the family. Since you will be cooking the food outdoors it may be a little more time consuming and a little more inconvenient but if you use a cast iron camp stove to do the cooking it will be well worth it.
You may think it will be too inconvenient to bring along a cast iron camping stove when you go camping in the woods. But if you want really delicious food to serve to your family, you won’t mind the bit of inconvenience. You will always want to make room to bring your favorite cast iron camp stove on camping trips. Following are some tips to help you get everything organized for your trip.
An RV Camper a Good Solution
There are several reasons for renting an RV camper when you go camping. You do not have to unload all the gear and set up the camping area when you arrive. It’s all right there in the RV. The beds are in the RV so your kids will have comfortable beds to sleep in and get a good nights rest. The kitchen is all set up ready for you to make meals. Some RVs come equipped with a cast iron camping stove so you do not even have to bring your own stove.
An RV is also a good choice for safety reasons. It is a lot safer to sleep inside the RV especially if you have small children with you. The door of the RV can be locked at night and there is no problem with small animals and insects getting in during the night.
Purchase a Small Cast Iron Camp Stove
If your family prefers to live in a tent when camping rather than an RV, you will want to buy a small cast iron camping stove to take on your camping trip. We are not talking about a big Dutch cast iron stove to take camping in the wilds with your while family. We are talking about a small camp stove with two burners. This will do the job just fine. You don’t have to prepare culinary wonders when you are out camping, just your family’s favorite food and a two burner camp stove will work well.
If you are going to hike into your camping spot, when you pack your gear, put the camping stove in a separate pack. If and when your back begins letting you know you need to lighten your load for awhile, it will be easier to change packs with someone else and let them carry the stove.
